At Encephalon, we believe education and community development are at the heart of meaningful change. Our speaking engagements are designed to spark awareness, foster understanding, and empower communities through knowledge of the brain. From exploring the science of neuropsychology and brain regulation to discussing Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) and the neurological profiles of developmental disorders, we aim to make complex topics accessible, engaging, and impactful. Each talk is crafted to inspire dialogue, deepen understanding, and highlight the vital role of brain regulation in everyday life and wellbeing.

Our speaking work is guided by a belief that knowledge should be both accessible and empowering. Neuroscience can often feel out of reach for those outside the field, yet its principles underpin so much of daily life – from focus and emotional regulation to resilience and recovery. By bringing science into the community, we aim to remove barriers to understanding, turning complex research into clear insights that can be applied in schools, healthcare, and everyday wellbeing.
We approach every engagement with a balance of scientific integrity and practical relevance. Each presentation is carefully structured to inform but also to invite dialogue, creating a space where audiences feel encouraged to ask questions and explore ideas. Whether speaking to clinicians, students, or the wider public, our goal is always the same: to make neuroscience meaningful, relatable, and inspiring in ways that support positive change.
In Brighton at The Therapy Expo, Kasia spoke about the role of Neurofeedback in developmental disorders, with a focus on the neuroscience of autism spectrum symptoms. She explored how specific areas of the brain can be targeted to promote regulation, helping to support balance, learning, and overall wellbeing.
On day two of the Therapy Expo in Brighton, Kasia explored the mechanisms behind Neurofeedback and shared insights from fMRI research. The findings show that even a single session can enhance connectivity in the brain, offering exciting possibilities for therapeutic outcomes and long-term regulation
Kasia collaborated with BEE Medic to deliver mini seminars, showcasing the practical side of Neurofeedback at Oxford University. She traced its history back to the 1960s, when it was first applied to seizures, and acknowledged key pioneers such as Joe Lubar’s work with ADHD (then called Hyperkinetic Disorder) and Joe Kamiya’s work on alpha-theta Neurofeedback. Emphasising the importance of a symptoms-based approach in a world often dominated by generic labels, Kasia also drew parallels between the evolution of Neurofeedback and the foundations of classical conditioning, illustrated by Ivan Pavlov’s famous salivating dog experiment.
At the International Annual Conference of Applied Neurofeedback (ACAN) in Tenerife, Spain, Kasia spoke about the neuroscience of Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) and Psychogenic Non-Epileptic Seizures (PNES). She proposed shifting from a lobular view of the brain to a network-based perspective – particularly valuable in understanding FND, brain injury, and trauma. Her talk included case studies, including one in which Neurofeedback significantly reduced a client’s PNES episodes from 8-10 seizures a day to far fewer, highlighting the tangible impact of this approach.
Booking Encephalon for a speaking engagement means giving your audience more than just information – it’s an opportunity to open minds, encourage conversation, and inspire change. Our talks are grounded in research yet delivered with clarity, ensuring that everyone, regardless of background, walks away with new insights and practical takeaways. In every talk, we offer:
By combining lived clinical experience with scientific expertise, we ensure every session resonates with the people in the room. Whether your aim is to deepen understanding of Functional Neurological Disorder, explore the potential of Neurofeedback, or introduce audiences to the broader role of brain regulation, our talks provide knowledge that empowers and motivates action.
If you are planning an event, conference, or seminar and want to bring fresh perspectives on brain health and neurofeedback, we’d love to collaborate. We work closely with organisers to understand their goals, ensuring each presentation complements the theme of the event and delivers maximum value to attendees.
